Crockpot Applesauce

I love homemade apple sauce!!  When I went to my semi local farmers market last week I got 10 apples, 2 of each kind, with apple sauce in mind. This is so super easy but because I only have one crockpot and had 27 lbs of tomatoes, those came first…anyway…i dont even peel them..just wash and core…

Throw them in the crockpot and add 1 cup water, 1 cup apple cider..(since I used up all the apple cider making moonshine i improvised)  I used 1 Keurig hot apple cider cups..pour into crock with apples, also pour in 1/4 c lemon juice…just to make sure they don’t brown to quickly…

I then sprinkled applepie spice, 1 tsp, and cinnamon, 1 tsp, on top…I also added about 8 whole cloves to the top and turned on low.

After about 8 hrs I’ll check on it and once everything gets soft, then I will use my hand blender to blend it all up..put into jars and waterbath it for 20 minutes.
