There is nothing more delish than homemade bone broth! Not only does it smell good and taste good, but it is really good for your health. I love making it! It makes the house smell wonderful! Knowing that I can just pop open a can of broth any time that we might need it and not have to run to the store for some is a life saver. I also like the fact that I know whats going into it and not some 25 letter word that I can’t even pronounce. Plus, its super simple to make your own and process it! So after simmering for at least 20 hours, I decided to strain the broth, throw out the veggies and let it cool in the fridge until tomorrow. After work, I’ll come home, scrape off the fat that cooled to the top and put back into the pot and start to boil it and can it. I can not WAIT till the weekend so I can actually roast the bones first then process it!!! Thank goodness for a 4 day weekend! I did take the bones and put it in a fresh batch of water, celery, salt, pepper, garlic, onions, carrots and rosemary. Ill let this cook till tomorrow night and repeat the process.
